It was just last week that we introduced you the new 2012 Corvette Racing video series called “Flat Out”. Here is the latest video called “The Prep” which is the first of five episodes from the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As you know, the Corvette Racing team is in France for the 24 Hours of Le Mans which will take place this weekend. Yesterday the team was in downtown Le Mans at the Place de la Republique for scrutineering which is where all the teams and crew report to have their cars and equipment inspected. While in the Center of Le Mans, the team pauses to take their annual group photograph.

When you think of iconic c1 Corvettes, mostly likely the image conjured in your head is that of the classic roadster painted red with white coves.

Anyone who has restored his father’s old car can understand exactly where Tony Meehan is coming from.
As he stands in front of his dad’s 1958 Corvette that he bought new, Tony tells a poignant story about a car that is obviously more than just a car.

Chevrolet Team Aims for Eighth Victory in 24 Hours of Le Mans
LE MANS, France, June 11, 2012 – Corvette Racing comes into the 80th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans as the defending champion in the GTE Pro category. Last year the No. 73 Compuware Corvette C6.R driven by Tommy Milner, Antonio Garcia, and Olivier Beretta scored a come-from-behind victory to capture Corvette Racing’s seventh class title in the world’s biggest sports car race.
If you haven’t entered the Race To Win Corvette contest that will put one lucky winner behind the wheel of the 2013 427 Convertible, you’re almost out of time. Corvette Racing’s Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen are here to remind you exactly how huge of a contest this is. But you better hurry as the contest closes on June 20th.
The old “I hit the accelerator instead of the brake” trick resulted in an unusual sight in Albuquerque on Monday: the rear end of a Corvette sticking out the front window.
Seems a senior citizen in her white C4 Corvette pulled that stunt as she was driving into the parking lot of the Great Harvest Bread Company on Montgomery Boulevard and Juan Tabo Boulevard N.E. in the El Dorado Square Shopping Center.
Corvette Racing fans were spoiled over the last few years with the “Track to Street” series that gave enthusiasts an upclose and personal look at the people and the cars over the course of the last two ALMS and Le Mans seasons. With three races having already been run in 2012, and no “Track to Street” videos, thinking was that the series was no more.
Well here is some good news. Pratt & Miller posted this new video called Corvette Racing ‘Flat Out’ on their Facebook page and is documents the season opener at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
