During the NCM Bash, Corvette Assembly Plant Director Kai Spande told the enthusiasts in the crowd two important pieces of news. No, this has nothing to do with his impending retirement on July 31st. What Kai told us was that the assembly plant was beginning to build “saleable” 2024 Corvette E-Rays, and that he would be getting one as a CTF to drive in the coming weeks.

Police in Beaumont, Texas are tracking new leads in the theft of a 2011 Corvette in town for a car show earlier this month.
Detectives believe a black Dodge Durango, captured in a grainy surveillance video, could be connected to the crime. They’re asking anyone with information about the theft to call 833-TIPS.

I’ve been a little late in getting some of these new YouTube videos up from Speed Phenom. While some of you may be fine with that, it appears the young Corvette owner has gotten himself into a pickle with two recent incidents that now has him thinking differently about General Motors and the new 2023 Corvette Z06.
This 1960 Corvette has been in the same family since it was purchased new on Oct. 27, 1960 at a St. Louis, Missouri dealer for the drive-out price of $3,555.20.
Now it’s being offered for sale on Corvette Forum for $79,500, with a family friend brokering the sale and offering to “do my best to make sure both parties are satisfied regarding the sale of this car.”
