Zip Corvette hosted their 11th annual Cruisin’ in the Fast Lane Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 6! Zip’s event draws Corvette enthusiasts from all over the Mid-Atlantic and this year did not disappoint with more than 270 Corvettes in attendance.

Ever since Chevy engineers first ventured out onto public streets back in April 2022 with what we think is the new C8 Corvette ZR1, it was fairly obvious that the car would have its own specific wheel design just as designers have done with the Stingray, Z06, and the E-Ray. The wheels of the prototypes are hidden behind round covers which are zip-tied onto the rims themselves, but the center hole allows us a glimpse of the spokes which shows these wheels are not currently offered on any other C8.
Is this a real 1957 Corvette fuelie?
That’s the question facing a cautious enthusiast considering the purchase of this ’57 – one of only 1,040 built that year – being offered on eBay in Walker, Louisiana. After 14 bids have been placed, the highest is $25,400, about 10 grand short of the “Buy It Now” price of $35,000.

Haliburton will lead the field of 33 IndyCar racers to the Green Flag in the 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible Pace Car.

Proving that the mid-engine C8 Corvette is the gift that keeps on giving, we were quite happy to see a group of Corvette engineers driving the upcoming 2025 Corvette ZR1 prototypes yesterday. The group of cars were spied by our photographers as they were entering GM’s Company Vehicle Operations Center in Warren, Michigan.
