One of the best story lines coming out of the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year has been the inclusion of the Garage 56 Camaro ZL1 NASCAR racer fielded by Hendrick Motorsports. While the car is competing as an exhibition and is in a class all of its own, the team is taking the challenge very seriously.
The exhaust system is a critical part of your Corvette’s performance. Its main job is to transport those nasty spent gasses out of the engine as quickly as possible. Today began the first official practice sessions at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and already there’s a bit of drama with Corvette Racing after the car lost control and crashed into a tire barrier. But this is Corvette Racing at Le Mans, and as they have done many times before, they rise to the occasion!
Corvette Racing has plenty of motivation at the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of the drivers recently told Sportscar365.
It’ll be the last race for the Corvette C8.R – and the Corvette Racing factory team – at the famed event in the GTE category, which is being phased out in favor of LMGT3 where factory teams are not allowed.

For 2023, organizers for the Detroit Grand Prix moved the race from Belle Isle to downtown Detroit, where it was run on a temporary nine-turn, 1.7-mile circuit that runs along the Detroit River. The IndyCar series once again joined IMSA for the mixed-series weekend and that means we got an opportunity to see the IndyCar 2023 Corvette Z06 Pace Car run on the streets of Detroit.
We’re channeling the great Henry Ford who was quoted as saying, “Any color the customer wants, as long as it’s black.”
Apparently, it’s going to be the same for Corvette Z06 buyers in Japan, at least initially.
Sometimes watching our favorite racing team from half a world away can be a challenge, but Pratt Miller Motorsports now has a plan for that!
The team behind Corvette Racing announced today that they will be offering an alternative live stream broadcast for fans of Jake and the Yellow C8.R as it competes in the French Summer Classic this weekend.
