A 730 hp Corvette ZR1 comes out to play on the streets of Houston with various others including a Grand Sport, Z06, Viper and Camaro.
One lucky 16 year old down in Mexico has the pleasure of owning and racing this BADASS beefed up ZR1 Corvette. We joined him for a night full of street racing where we lined up three and four wide on the highways to race some quick cars. A bolt on’s Z06, Nitrous Z06, Supercharged Grand Sport, Gen V Viper, Supercharged Camaro, nitrous G8, GTO, and even a Turbo Beetle came out to play that night. Throughout the sixty years of Corvette history there are relatively few cars with the background, impressive credentials and significance of the renowned #57 1969 L88 racecar known as “Rebel”. The Rebel was so famous and celebrated that Revell® offered a replica model kit of the car in 1:24 scale. On Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2014, Barrett-Jackson will auction the legendary racecar during their annual Scottsdale auction extravaganza.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray continues to rake in the awards with the new C7 picking up two new honors from automotive publications in the Middle East. The new C7 has won the prestigious 2013 Sports Car of the Year from Sport Auto and Car Bazar and the Muscle Car of the Year from Car and Driver.
