Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Week of March 13th

Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Week of March 13th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

In this week’s delivery dispatch, Mike shares photos of a 2016 Laguna Blue Stingray going through the assembly line as well as Black/Black Z51 Stingray being picked up at the dealership. In both cases, those customers came to Criswell Chevrolet as their local dealers could never get the allocations for what they wanted. Mike also shows off pictures the #488 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition which is available – first come, first serve! Finally, many Corvette customers return to Mike to buy their non-Corvettes and we see several trucks, an Impala and a Red Chevy SS ready for their new owners.

If you love Corvettes and would like to help the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park financially, we’ve got some good news for you.

The NCM has announced that 17 additional acres needed for a berm are now available for supporters who would like to join the NCM Motorsports Park Acre Club.

Each acre is $15,000 tax-deductible, payable by the end of 2016, and your generosity will be remembered on the permanent donor wall at the Holley Control Tower to be built next year.

Also included are:

  • An honorary framed deed for your acre
  • Inclusion on the Motorsports Park website
  • The opportunity to purchase exclusive Acre Club merchandise

You can reserve your acre club spot on a first-come, first-serve basis by getting in touch with Connie Russell at 270-467-8815 or connie@corvettemuseum.org.

Other sponsorship and advertising programs are also available to help the NCM, including fence signs, Armco sign advertising, and garage sponsorships. You can learn more at http://www.motorsportspark.org/getinvolved/sponsorships.

The Motorsports Park, of course, is located across from the Corvette Assembly Plant and the National Corvette Museum and offers recreational motorsports activities, educational driving events, corporate hospitality events, drivers’ training for first responders, and teen driver safety programs.

Since opening, the park has seen attendance of over 100,000 to participate in an event, to watch the fun or to check out the facility.

[VIDEO] Worldwide Auctioneers Will Offer a 1967 L88 Corvette at the Houston Classic

[VIDEO] Worldwide Auctioneers will offer a 1967 L88 Corvette at the Houston Classic

Worldwide Auctions will be hosting their annual sale known as the Houston Classic on April 23 this year. We’re officially giving you notice so you’ll have time to get your finances in order because one of the featured lots is a 1967 L88 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible.

Chevy built only 200 of the firebreathing L88s over the three year period of 1967-1969, and only 20 were offered in 1967. And if history tells us anything, this Silver Pearl L88 roadster could be sold for millions of dollars.

These special 1967 Corvettes don’t come up for sale very often, but the last two have been world record holders. Will we see another world record L88 Corvette sale in Houston?

It’s time once again for Throwback Thursday where we feature vintage photos of Corvettes. Here is a prototype of a 1984 Corvette complete with a disguise that isn’t fooling anyone now, nor did it fool the legendary car spy photographer Jim Dunne in 1982 who captured the car out at GM’s testing grounds in Milford.

NASCAR’s Kurt Busch is no stranger to the art of going fast. Each week he pilots the No. 41 Chevrolet SS for Stewart-Haas racing in his quest for the checkered flag and ultimately the opportunity to win NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Championship.

This week however, with NASCAR doing a west coast swing and just wrapping up the third race of the 2016 season at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the Las Vegas resident took his Stewart-Hass pit crew out to Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club for a team building excercise with the Ron Fellows High Performance Driving School.

Celebrate the C4 Corvette Grand Sport's 20th Anniversary at Corvette Funfest

If we could go back 20 years, the big news of the day for Corvette enthusiasts was the 1996 Corvette Grand Sport, a one-year limited edition model that helped Chevrolet commemorate the end of the C4’s 12 year reign.

Only 1,000 1996 Corvette Grand Sports were built. The iconic models came in Admiral Blue with White racing stripe livery and red hash marks on the fender and under the hood was the special LT4 V8 which made 330 hp – offering 30 more horses than the standard LT1.
