1963 Corvette Coupe

The first day of bidding at a Barrett-Jackson auction is often the best time to find a deal, or at the very least, buy a car without the infamous BJ markup that we'll see later this weekend. But who would of thought that after the first day, a 1990 ZR1 Corvette would be in the list of top 10 cars? Sold for $47,500, with buyer’s commission the total sales price was $52,250.

This 1990 ZR1 Corvette is a museum piece with only 800 miles, full documentation and as the case with most cars in its stored condition, has the obligatory "Never Seen Rain" statement. It's number 727 out of 3049 ZR1's produced in 1990.

As you watch the clip, the Speed announcers make a couple of generalizations and misstatements about this "King of the Hill" Corvette, including a comment about how the owner could have done better with the "early 80's Pace Cars". But we'll forgive them as they were still on a high from the '67 GTO that rolled just prior to the red Corvette.
