British automotive show host Jeremy Clarkson introduces the new TVR Sagaris and then pits it against the Stig and a C6 Corvette Coupe on the track, or has he calls it, "Plastic fantastic as Kentucky takes on Blackpool." The Sagaris is a bit more brutish than the more refined Corvette and in the end I am wondering why Top Gear choose to put it up against a topless coupe instead of the more closely matched Z06 Corvette. But hey, its television. The Stig gets the jump on the TVR and probably would win if the race was simply a 1/4 mile. (Do they race the 1/4 in the UK or is it something more akin to the 400 meter?) Despite getting beat in both the head-to-head drag and the circuit, the video is eye candy for those of us who love to watch a Corvette on the track.
