Let’s face it. Since Chevrolet started delivering the new 2014 Corvette Stingrays, it seems like they are now everywhere. My twitter and youtube feeds are full of new spottings and First Time videos, but this video of two Corvette Stingrays on the dragstrip running against each other was something I had to share!

When Harley Earl left General Motors in 1963, he was gifted with this unique Corvette Sting Ray Convertible that was customized to his interests by the style department he originally created. Now that the tuners have their hands on the new 2014 Corvette Stingray, we’re starting to see the aftermarket world works its magic. We just saw this video from Vossen Wheels and figured that will all the “FIRST” videos being made, this is probably the “FIRST” C7 Corvette to have aftermarket wheels. While we can’t back up that claim on paper, we can certainly tell you to hit the play button after the jump to see more.
Like some other well-known tuners and performance shops, Pfadt Race Engineering has been itching to get their hands on the new 2014 Corvette Stingray. Pfadt has big plans for the C7 Stingray with a new line of parts and a performance upgrade package they’re calling the Pfadt P58. The package is expected to boost the LT1 from 460 hp to approximately 580 hp.
But before all that can move forward, they first needed to pick up the car.

While we were there, we spoke with plant manager Dave Tatman about the changes to the plant, C7 production, quality assessments and resumption of public tours which begin on October 14th.
On Sunday, Hennessey Performance ran a 2014 Corvette Stingray equipped with the Z51 package and the 6-speed auto in the quarter mile. Today, Jalopnik brings us what they are calling the first customer-owned three-pedal quarter mile. More significant we believe is that it’s the first quarter mile run by a non-Z51 C7 Corvette with a 7-speed manual transmission.
