Director Michael Bay has turned his 3D cameras to Chicago to provide the backdrop for more robot vs robot mayhem and the new Corvette Stingray Concept appeared to be in the thick of it along with several NASCAR themed Decepticons. Bumblebee reprises his role in the Camaro and Optimus Prime gains a trailer. Exciting stuff for sure!

This year Corvette Racing celebrated their 50th running at Le Mans, with a commemorative lap consisting of 50 Corvettes being run prior to the race. Luc Alphand’s Corvette team had two GT1 Corvettes at the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans. In this video, he gives a behind the scenes tour showing the layout of his garage and introducing us to key personnel. With Luc’s Corvettes being former Corvette Racing chassis, we see representatives from Pratt and Miller and Katech who were on-hand to monitor the car’s performance during the race.
We heard back in January that GM was considering adding a program that would allow owners the opportunity to build the engine that would be installed in their new Corvette. Yesterday, GM announced that the Corvette Engine Build Program would be available starting in 2011 for customers who order a Corvette Z06 or ZR1.
