Corvette’s Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter held this one-hour seminar at the National Corvette Museum’s 2012 Bash called “Engineering the Corvette”. With all the excitement surrounding the up-coming 2014 C7 Corvette, Tadge wanted to take Corvette owners and enthusiasts inside the process. From the halls of GM’s design center to the factory floor in Bowling Green, check out all that goes into revamping an America’s favorite sports car.

GM’s Chairman Daniel Akerson was asked in an intervew by Kathleen Walter of Newsmax.tv if GM is planning any other relaunches of popular models. Akerson responded by saying, “Not in the intermediate near term, I don’t think so.” But then the Chairman and CEO added the following about the 2014 C7 Corvette:

Leading the presentation was Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter and Product Manager Harlan Charles.
One of the highlights of the NCM Bash at the Corvette Museum is annual seminar that recaps the current production year and then showcases the changes for new model year. At the “What’s New for 2013 Corvette” Seminar presented to a standing room only crowd in the Chevrolet Theater on Saturday morning, Team Corvette Members Tadge Juechter, Harlan Charles, Kirk Bennion and Craig Sass went through their areas of expertise and then opened up the forum for questions. At this rather large gathering of car enthusiasts in Turkey, we see a black C6 Corvette doing some impressive burnouts and donuts. As the Corvette wraps up its little show for the crowd, two other cars get in the act including an unknown maroon sedan with the obligatory passenger with a handycam hanging out the window. What happens next can only be described with a face palm to the forehead.
Two C7 Corvette prototypes were sighted earlier this month driving on the streets of Holly, Michigan which is just North of Milford. According to the photographer who spotted the Corvettes, there were two C7 prototypes in a group of about eight cars with the others being Z06s and a ZR1, as well as a Porsche 911S.
