Eric Lancaster’s 2010 ZR1 is measured at releasing a whopping 902.2 horsepower to the rear wheels just before the blinding light show.

Team Members Tadge Juechter, Harlan Charles and Bowling Green Assembly Plant Manager Dave Tatman each spoke about the new 7th Generation Corvette and then answered questions from the crowd.

Editor’s note: We posted this video from our new CorvetteVideos.TV website onto our Facebook page Saturday night. The video generated a lot of comments about the direction of the new Corvettes rear end design so we wanted to share it with our non-facebook friends as well.
For months now, the Internet has been abuzz over the rear end of the seventh-generation Corvette.
Some old-timers have made no secret that they don’t care much for the move away from the traditional round tail lamps that have been on the Corvette since 1963 (though some C4s had rectangular lights and the C5 had ovals).
Tom Peters, design director for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, recently took a few moments to talk with Autoweek to explain his team’s thinking as they designed the rear of the car.

Since its inception Corvette has been known for showcasing new and innovative technologies. From the 1953′s fiberglass body to the C3′s fiber optic light monitoring system to the more recent Magnetic Ride Control systems Corvette continues to set the technological pace for GM. The C7 follows suit by using an aluminum frame and more stealthily, a new Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wire to control the hidden rear hatch vent.

We first showed you last year the violent crash of a helicopter that was racing a Corvette ZR1 as part of a stunt for Top Gear Korea, the South Korean version of the popular British show.
Well, last weekend the BBC released more footage of the stunt that featured the show’s Kim Jin Pyo trying to outrun a retired U.S. military Bell AH-1 Cobra copter.

Chevrolet sponsored the Grammy Awards that aired on CBS on Sunday evening and ran a :90 second commercial titled Find New Roads Anthem which included the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe. We believe this is the first time the Stingray Coupe has aired in an actual broadcast commercial and in case you missed it, check it out after the jump.
