Chevrolet issued a news release this morning that confirms the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 5, 2013. News first broke about the possiblity of the Convertible’s reveal in Geneva in late January and dealers are being told the Stingray convertible could be available for sale by the end of the year.
It’s a shame that a deal couldn’t be worked out between General Motors and the organizers of the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday night to spotlight the C7 Corvette.
With seemingly the entire world watching, it would have been a great time to get some more publicity for the 2014 Stingray, which has already set tongues drooling since being unveiled to the public on Jan. 13.
Chevy promises that if you can afford to buy a C6 Corvette, then likewise you can afford the exciting new C7 when it comes out later this year.

To say they were challenged in this task would be an understatement based on the constant criticism of the C6 Corvette’s interior. But now that the 2014 Corvette Stingray has been revealed, the interior design team has earned high praise and respect for taking the interior space of the Stingray to a whole new level.

Mecum Auctions’ occupation of central Florida wrapped up last weekend after a 10-day bender of sunshine and vehicle sales. Their first event of 2013 tallied 2,610 cars traversing the red carpeted auction block with roughly 70% of those going to new homes. A total of 402 Corvettes (15% of the total docket) were available and 62 of them drew bids of $100,000 or more.

Remember that story about Beyonce doing the Super Bowl halftime show with the 2014 Corvette Stingray? Well, that didn’t happen.
What did happen was the red 2014 Corvette Stingray was on the field during the post game celebration but it got zero coverage by CBS Sports. And despite a tweet from Corvette’s John Fitzpatrick confirming it was the Red Corvette that was in the house, there has been no announcement from Chevrolet regarding the MVP award.
For months now, in the aftermath of the Jalopnik renderings, critics of the polarizing new C7 rear end have been threatening to perform “plastic surgery” on their own and change what the GM designers came up with.
