Whew! That’s how we feel after a long but fun weekend at Corvette FunFest. How about we do a special Midyear Monday gallery dedicated to the 1963-1967 Corvettes we saw on the grounds of Mid America Motorworks in Effingham IL.
It’s time for another CorvetteBlogger Poll! This time we want to hear from those of you who’ve attended Corvette Funfest.
Mid America’s Corvette Funfest turns 21 this weekend. The annual 4-day celebration at Mid America Motorworks’ HQ in Effingham, Illinois runs this Thursday through Sunday. Countless activities fill the docket, but we want to know what’s your favorite part of Corvette Funfest?
Jay Leno takes us out of his garage and out into the world for a field trip to what he calls the “Super Bowl for car enthusiasts” in Pebble Beach, Calif., where he says you can see some of the best cars ever built.
He calls this 42-minute show “The Ultimate Car Week.”
Of most interest to Corvette enthusiasts is likely to be a segment devoted to the 2015 Corvette Z06. You might want to fast forward to about the 9:50 mark to see this.
One of the core missions of the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park has always been to promote the improvement of driver skills.
Now that the Motorsports Park has officially opened, that mission will roar into action with the inaugural High Performance Driving Event coming up later this month.

Nothing like a Corvette parade to end a fantastic weekend at the Corvettes at Carlisle show. We thought the weather might keep many away but in the end turnout was good from Corvette owners who drove from the fairgrounds as well as Carlisle’s residents who line the streets to watch them.
Another edition of the Corvettes at Carlisle show has come and gone. Despite the in-climate weather, this show remains a must-attend as there is just so much see and do. In fact, I’d say that a day at Corvettes at Carlisle in the falling rain beats a day sitting behind a desk anytime!
At Corvettes at Carlisle, we walked and walked and walked some more. From the swap meet to the sales corral, from the Chevy Engineers tent on the Manufacturer’s Midway with the new Corvette Z06 to sitting up on the hill with friends and looking at all the remarkable Corvettes parked row after row, we saw it all.
And thanks to our camera, you can catch a glimpse of one of America’s premiere Corvette shows in the gallery below.
