On Saturday, November 8th our friends at ProTeam Corvette Sales will be hosting a Corvette Technical seminar along with the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS). This year’s topic will be Corvette’s Performance Evolution. The all-day seminar is open to both NCRS members and the general public. The $25 admission fee includes both breakfast and lunch.
Our friends at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving have scheduled their 3rd annual Corvettes at Bondurant HPDE for October 25th and 26th at their facility in Arizona. If you’re interested in attending, make your plans now as Corvettes at Bondurant limited to the first 200 Corvettes who register for the event.
Ocean City Corvette Club held their annual Corvettes on the Boardwalk show in Ocean City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 21st. Many thanks to our friend Monica Mayer @ CU~Through The Lens who offered us the opportunity to share some photos from the show.
Our Corvette friends who have attended this show say it’s one of their favorites and it sure does look like a cool event they way it’s presented.
Although a move has been rumored for the last couple of weeks, we’ve confirmed today that the Bloomington Gold Corvette Show will be leaving Champaign, Ill. where the show has been hosted for the last two years on the grounds of the University of Illinois.
A representative from Bloomington Gold tells us a new location will be announced soon.
Part of our responsibilities when covering Mid America Motorwork’s 2014 Corvette FunFest is the selection of a Corvette for our celebrity choice award. As we wandered Corvette FunFest’s back parking lot looking for the appropriate Corvette, we realized our work would be cut out for us. So many great Corvettes. So many great stories.
That’s when I spotted Mike McGuirk and his son Mike sitting behind a Honduras Maroon 1962 Corvette.
Corvette Blogger has been a regular visitor to Corvettes at Carlisle, but this off-beat look at the largest gathering of ‘Vettes in the entire world by Regular Car Reviews managed to give us a unique look at the goings-on there.
After wandering through the Carlisle Fairgrounds and showing some of the more than 5,000 Corvettes that became the latest to attend the big event, Regular Car Reviews begins to offer a philosophical look at the Corvette enthusiast’s world.

Back on Labor Day weekend earlier this year the National Corvette Museum officially opened their new Motorsports Park. The freshly minted facility recently held its first official High Performance Driving Event (HDPE) on September 27th and 28th.
