As we’ve seen from the shipping pics and videos, the 2014 Corvette Stingrays are being shipped with a heavy duty cover designed to protect them as much as possible while in transit.

One of the top questions about shipping has been whether owners can keep the covers. But after seeing this video, I pretty much guarantee that once removed, you won’t want to try putting it back on.

Chevrolet to Build 500 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition Convertibles

Back in June, the Corvette Team unveiled the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition Coupe at the National Corvette Museum. The special launch edition coupes are all Laguna Blue with the 3LT Brownstone Interior and a Black Stinger hood graphic and 500 will be produced and allocated to dealers.

In our interview with Corvette/Camaro Marketing Manager John Fitzpatrick last Friday, we learned that once the Corvette Stingray Convertibles start production, 500 Convertible Premiere Editions will be built for dealers as well.

For those of you who have opted to take delivery of your new 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, the good news tweeted today announced the arrival of a truckload of R8C Delivery Stingrays from the plant across the street. The cars will be prepped and the first of many Museum Deliveries start on September 30th.
