With the opening of the Los Angeles Auto Show to the public this Friday, Chevrolet released these photos showing the load-in crew putting the final touches on their display.
This week in New York City, RM Auctions in association with Sotheby’s is presenting the Art of the Automobile exhibition and sale. From horse-drawn carriages to the world’s fastest car, the auction highlights the very best machines from their respective eras.
Representing Chevrolet at the event is Zora Arkus-Duntov’s second Chevrolet Engineering Research Vehicle which today is known simply as CERV II.

But buildings aren’t the only things that Dubai loves to show off.
The Dubai Civil Defense has just upgraded to the fluorescent yellow 2014 Corvette Stingray that’s shown in this photo. With all the decals and the bright paint, it’s definitely a one-of-a-kind look for Chevy’s seventh-generation sports car.
Ride along as these four all new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingrays take 2 hot laps on the Spring Mountain test track in Nevada. This track is part of the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School. Two Rydell employees were riding along inside these cars during Corvette Stingray training. You have to see it to believe it. This car is unbelievable! Enjoy!

A fire that started in the engine compartment of this black 1986 Corvette totaled the vehicle on Wednesday.
The driver was sitting at a red light on Duval Mine Road in Green Valley, Arizona when the blaze erupted.
Kevin Mackay is well known within the Corvette hobby for his ability to seek and find rare historical Corvettes and then restore them to like new condition. Although best known for finding the 1960 Briggs Cunningham Corvette that won its class in the 1960 24 Hours of Le Mans, he also found the ‘Rebel’ L88 Corvette racer that will be sold at Barrett-jackson early next year.
During Bloomington Gold, Mackay had three of his see-thru Corvette creations on display. The 1969 L88 and the 1965 Big Block have all been featured before and we also see the XP-819 rear engine concept owned by Mike Yager of Mid America Motorworks.
For the first time, two seats are being offered in the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The standard GT seat is already available and will soon be complemented by the race ready Competition Sport seat.
The new seats found in the C7 Corvette Stingray are most likely one of the biggest turnarounds the team can boast of when it comes to taking a weaknesses on the C6 Corvette and turning it into a strength on the C7. In this video from Chevrolet, Seat Engineer Ken Taylor talks about how digital pressure-mapping and dynamic testing resulted in the much better seats now being offered on the C7.
