Low Mile 1969 L88 Corvette Heading to Mecum Monterey

What may be the best example of an L88 Corvette still around will go on the block at Mecum Auctions in Monterey, California Aug. 14-16.

No less an expert than the NCRS National Judging Chairman Roy Sinor chose this car nine years ago for a collector who asked him to find the best L88 he could.

Sinor settled on this 1969 L88 Stingray after it had undergone a two-year rotisserie restoration finished in 2005 and gave it 94 points out of a possible 100.

Corvettes on eBay: Auction of a 1977 Corvette Gets a Little Weird

We’ve all seen some auctions and classified ads that may feature a photo or two of a pretty girl with a Corvette, and for the most part if the pictures are tastefully done, it can serve as a great attention-getter.

This eBay auction listing for a 1977 Corvette seems to start okay. The teaser pic shows an attractive bikini-clad woman leaning against the red Vette, but when you click on it and then see all the pictures, you’ll think you are in the twilight zone.

by Keith Cornett on August 4, 2014

Via CorvetteVideos.TV

Check out the view from a C6 Corvette as it runs behind the Corvette Pace Car during the PIT Rally on Colorado’s Central City Parkway. The course is 7 miles, 4 lanes wide, 23 turns and a 2,500 ft hill climb through the Rocky Mountains.

Chasing a GO4IT Racing Corvette (pace car) in my street C6 Corvette on Central City Parkway in Colorado during PIT Rally 2014. Hit a top speed of 140 MPH, averaging 104 MPH over 6.9 miles and 1500 ft of overall elevation climb. I was admittedly a little hesitant around some of those blind turns!

Front video and data recorded by TrackAddict HD on an iPhone 5, with optional OBD-II interface add-on. Rear video from a ReplayXD 720. Video+Data overlays and Picture-in-Picture produced with RaceRender 3: http://RaceRender.com

[VIDEO] 81 Year Old Road Rally Driver Tops 166 MPH in her C5 Corvette

Once a year in Idaho, the Sun Valley Road Rally transforms Highway 75 north of Ketchum into a “No Speed Limit” zone where drivers can run as fast as they want past throngs of spectators cheering them on. The event, now in its 5th year, raises money for the Blaine County Community Drug Coalition.

One of the videos we caught of the event featured a C5 Corvette that hit a top speed of 166 mph on the two lane road.

But that’s not all. Driving the yellow Corvette, according to the PA announcer, was an 81 year old grandmother.

Corvette Stingray Vandalized with Paint Stripper

It’s very sad that someone who works hard and enjoys nice things can’t have them because people are jerks.

Renee Hughes of Hoover, Alabama found that out when she woke up Friday morning to find that her Black 2014 Corvette Stingray had been vandalized by someone who poured paint stripping gel all over her new car.
