While modding Corvettes is pretty common here in the States, it’s also a phenomenon that happens across the globe as owners search for more power. One such tuner located in western Austria is O.CT Tuning who recently went to work on the C7 Corvette Stingray.

Our friends down under may soon be able to buy a fancy new American car at their Holden dealer in Australia.
That was the word last week from Stefan Jacoby, head of General Motors’ international division.
Jacoby didn’t give many details about the new car, but he did tell Australian media this week that Holden will get a “halo model” after production of the V8 Commodore ends in 2017.
American Muscle is on full display in this video Jalopnik called “the drag race America demanded.” That is certainly true for Corvette fans who saw what happened when a Corvette Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package went up against a Viper TA in seven different roll races and lost.
In this race which takes place on the controlled environment of a drag strip, we got an example of a base aero Corvette Z06 (base splitter, no rocker panels and smaller rear spoiler) but still packing the potent 6.2L supercharged LT4 making 650 hp.

The National Corvette Museum (NCM) now has a new exhibit for the world’s one and only remaining 1983 Corvette thanks to the generosity of the Dyer Family Foundation. The white coupe was previously displayed in the Skydome mixed in with the other Corvettes, just blending in with its surroundings. Now, the new display for this unique part of Corvette history is featured in the Gateway where, surrounded by print and video media telling its story, it is the center of attention.
One of the modern validation points for benchmarking performance among sports car fans has become the car’s ability to put down a fast lap around the 12.9 mile Nurburgring in Germany. The Corvette Z06 has been there two years in row and in each occasion, the ability to lay down a complete timed lap was thwarted by the weather.
During a recent Question and Answer session hosted by Jalopnik with Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter, Tadge said they would only make public a fast lap that was complete and captured on video as opposed to offering a pieced-together “segmented time” which is what he says was all they have due to the weather. Of course, crashing the Z06 on the ‘Ring doesn’t help either.
Tadge said the Corvette Z06′s lap time at VIR’s Grand Course was 2:41.3, beating the C6 ZR1 by 4.3 seconds and then he threw down the challenge about the Nurburgring time which has been accepted by several members of the Corvette Forum – Do the Math!
When the doors opened to the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit last week, visitors to the Chevrolet area were greeted with an all new display featuring six 20 foot tall transparent screens that told the stories about the cars, trucks and crossovers through video and coordinated LED lighting and music.
A 2011 dark red Corvette was torn to pieces after the driver lost control and slammed into a wall in East El Paso, Texas on Sunday night.
Police said the man hit the rock wall surrounding the Cielo Vista Apartments after losing control as he headed north on Airway Boulevard near the Edgemere intersection.
If you’ve ever wanted a full-on Corvette race car to show people how it’s done at the track, you may want to hurry over to eBay. There is only a little more than two days left in an auction of a turnkey track package including a 1999 C5 Corvette race car and a 24-foot enclosed Pace trailer. The $55,000 asking price includes both, but the seller is willing to sell them separately—$52,000 for the car and $3,000 for the trailer. However, he is not willing to sell the trailer before the car is sold.
