It’s that time of year again to talk about Saint Bernard’s Classic Corvette Giveway. This is the 25th anniversary for the classic Corvette raffle and all proceeds benefit the Saint Bernard Church and School in Rockport, Indiana. While the last couple of years have featured a midyear Corvette as the grand prize, this year’s raffle is for a 1960 Horizon Blue Corvette Roadster.
“Never seen rain” is a common saying among Corvette “polishers”. But just because its raining, that doesn’t mean that testing comes to a halt with the new 2014 Corvette Stingray. We picked up this gem of a pic on twitter from LaFontaine Chevrolet in Dexter, MI showing a Laguna Blue Corvette Stingray driving in the wet.
Jerry and Felicia Mulick of Illinois have the best of both worlds with their Marina Blue 1967 Corvette convertible.
They’ve got the classic looks of what some consider one of the most beautiful cars ever made, but raise the hood and you’ll see that they’ve got the modern convenience of a powerful C6 LS2 V8 engine that cruises down the interstate sipping a gallon about every 30 miles.

Last year, Callaway produced a special run of 25 Grand Sports to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Callaway’s RPO B2K – the first turbo-charged Corvettes offered by the factory. These special B2K Anniversary Corvettes were snapped up quickly and now we hear the only one left for sale in the entire country is at Criswell Corvette – the #3/25 B2K Callaway Corvette.
Hotrod.com has a great story on its site about a true Corvette pioneer – none of that sissy trailer queen stuff for Eric Rickman.
He worked as a photographer for HOT ROD magazine from 1951 to 1992 and did a great job covering the hot rodding world back in those early days.
HOT ROD shared the story of Rickman’s beloved 1954 Corvette that definitely didn’t live a pampered life – but lived a full one before going out in a blaze of glory – literally. More on that later.
We received an email from a reader who spotted the Torch Red 2014 Corvette Stingray in Phoenix, Arizona. Seems the majority of the recent sightings have been in that surrounding area.
