While most of us in the Corvette community don’t take our Corvettes for granted, they are always around as part of our families and, like the family dog or cat, we sometimes tend to forget how really special they are.
Not so for Jonathan “Randy” Williamson of Bluffton, Ohio. On the day before Halloween, there were no tricks played on Randy, only a very special treat—he got the chance to live out his dream of a ride in a Corvette convertible. Fifty-five-year-old Williamson has been on dialysis for over 20 years and lives in Richland Manor, a senior living healthcare campus community. His passions are cars and music, and one of his fondest bucket-list items was to take a ride in a Corvette.
It’s the last Friday of the month and that means it’s time for “Black Friday” here at CorvetteBlogger.com. Our family has owned a black Corvette Sting Ray for almost five decades and so the most sinister color of Corvette’s color palette is also our favorite. Here’s our salute to Black Corvettes with a random photo gallery made up of 37 Corvettes spanning seven generations.
We don’t know what’s under the hood of this C6 Corvette Z06 but the girl driving it gets the jump on a 2014 SRT Viper and never looks back as she takes the checkered flag in a roll race on an airport runway.
Watch this girl in a Corvette Z06 take down a 2014 SRT Viper in a half-mile roll race. Looks like she nearly loses her hood at the end of the runway.

The first of any Corvette model usually goes right to the top of the most collectible list, but it becomes particularly collectible when it’s a very limited production model, such as a Callaway C16. Mecum’s upcoming auction in Anaheim, California will feature the first Callaway C16 convertible, serial number 003, as lot S105.1 on Saturday, November 15.
Some Corvette accidents are the result of driver error while others are caused by careless drivers. This Corvette appears to have been claimed by a mechanical failure. The driver of the red C6 Z06 walked away last week after his car lost the right rear wheel and rolled over in northern Pennsylvania.
Ocean City Corvette Club held their annual Corvettes on the Boardwalk show in Ocean City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 21st. Many thanks to our friend Monica Mayer @ CU~Through The Lens who offered us the opportunity to share some photos from the show.
Our Corvette friends who have attended this show say it’s one of their favorites and it sure does look like a cool event they way it’s presented.
Hey, don’t blame the Corvette.
That’s our first reaction to a man getting locked inside a C6 after he climbed inside a 2007 Corvette coupe on sale at a Lynchburg, Va., car lot last week. (At least it wasn’t a convertible with the top down and the doors locked.)
If you think of high-performance Corvettes as gas guzzlers, think again.
This weekend, several Corvettes that have been converted to run on E85, a high octane blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent unleaded gasoline, will be strutting their stuff in Nebraska.
