Here’s some eyecandy from our friends at D2FORGED who hit us up on twitter yesterday to share these pics of a Pewter C5 Corvette Convertible riding on their CV2 concave wheels. I’ve always maintained that the wheels guys have the best photos and D2FORGED doesn’t let us down with their latest photoset.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that they’re opening a preliminary investigation involving early C6 Corvette Headlights. They’ve received 30 complaints from drivers stating that the low beam headlights turn off on their own while driving at night.

Check out this rejected C5 Corvette design that was brought to our attention by our friend Chris Draper via Digital Corvettes. The picture comes from James Schefter’s book All Corvettes Are Red which details the design and launch of the 1997 Corvette.
The photo is a computer rendering of a proposed design for the fifth generation Corvette that eventually made its debut in 1997. And boy oh boy does it bear a strong resemblance to today’s 2014 Corvette Stingray.
