Corvettes on eBay: Chassis #005 2001 Corvette C5R

Well, you just don’t see these early Corvette Racing C5Rs available for purchase all that often. Offered on eBay is the Pratt & Miller 2001 Corvette C5R chassis #005. The Corvette was first raced at Infineon Raceway in May 2002 by Ron Fellows and Kelly Collins, capturing a win at this first event. Chassis #005 would add wins at Mid-Ohio, Washington DC, Mosport and Petit Le Mans to close out the 2002 ALMS season. In 2003, Ron Fellows, Johnny O’Connell and Franck Fréon would pilot this C5R to a class win at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Battlestar Galactica C5 Corvette is One Hot Mess

Battlestar Galactica C5 Corvette is One Hot Mess

The builder of this hot mess that was once a C5 Corvette Convertible appears to have spared no expense in bringing his vision of the sci-fi show Battlestar Galactica to the roads of Istanbul, Turkey. Lawrence Welk Edition C5 Corvette Shows Unique Features

Here is one customized Corvette you won’t see a SEMA. With the demographics of Corvette owners trending older, I’m sure this won’t be the last Corvette to feature a scooter carrier. Hands down, the kicker of the photo is the “BYE” handicap vanity license plate which shows the owner not only has their faculties, but a keen sense of humor as well.

Corvettes at the Cars and Coffee Meet in St. Pete

This morning found me up before the sun cruising across Tampa Bay to the duPont Registry’s Cars and Coffee meet in St. Petersburg. Florida. The monthly get-together keeps growing and as such there is a ton of eye candy for our viewing pleasure. The earliest Corvette we found was a silver 1964 Coupe and the latest model was a 2010 supercharged Callaway Corvette. Check out our gallery of photos after the jump.
