Monday Morning Burnout: 1965 Corvette Coupe at the Strip

We’re starting this week off with a burnout featuring a 1965 Corvette Coupe on a dragstrip in the Estonian city of Haapsalu. It’s obvious that this Corvette made an impression as we counted no less than four different youtube video of the coupe laying down rubber and launching down the strip for its quarter mile run. We don’t know the times that were put down, but the Christmas tree tells us the Sting Ray is the winner.

Mecum's Bloomington Gold Auction Rakes in $5.8 million in Corvette Sales

Article and photos contributed by Steve Burns

The atmosphere at this year’s Bloomington auction was interesting. The tent was generally full of bidders and spectators all weekend. Surprisingly, though, bids were hard to come by at times. A few moments later the bid was raised to $410k, the reserve was lifted, and the ZR2 was off to its new home.
