Here’s a special 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Sport Coupe that will be offered this week at the Mecum auction in Austin, Texas. The Riverside Red Coupe was shown at the GM Vehicle Display during the 1967 Riverside Grand Prix in California. Since then it has lived the pampered life of a garage queen.

Last weekend we kicked off our pre-turkey day festivities by hitting up the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) in Chicago. For 2 days hundreds of muscle cars, Corvettes, customs, and racers took over the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont in what’s become one of the best indoor shows around. That’s how many second-generation Corvette Sting Rays are up for auction as a package deal right now on eBay. Bidding had reached $67,807.07 as of 9:00 am Eastern Time on Monday morning and so far the reserve has not yet been met.
