The final slate of candidates for Bloomington Gold’s Great Hall was inducted at last month’s show in Champaign, ILL. Over the last five years, Bloomington Gold has honored 50 people and 50 Corvettes who have positively impacted our hobby. This year’s inductees mark the final year of the Great Hall.
The Great Hall’s intent is to salute the pioneers of our hobby – the people, organizations, and the cars that helped create the phenomenon we know and love today. It’s their passion and drive that helped build the hobby for all of us.
Team seeking fourth straight GT Le Mans victory in TUDOR Championship
DETROIT (July 9, 2014) – After winning a round of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship at an unfamiliar venue, Corvette Racing heads this weekend to more recognizable surroundings. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) plays host to the TUDOR Championship as Corvette Racing goes for an 11th victory at the storied road course just outside Toronto.
Corvette Racing has been a mainstay at the 24 Hours of Le Mans annually for the last 15 years. This year, the team took the opportunity to thank all the local fans that come out to the track as well as all who support the factory-backed C7.Rs everywhere. Since 1923, Le Mans, France has hosted a twenty-four hour race that has since become the world’s largest motorsport event of the year. For fifteen years, the 24 Hours of Le Mans has become a place of honor and pride for Corvette Racing. Winning the contest seven times against the world’s greatest sports cars is no small achievement.

The team made its debut one to remember with a dominating GT Le Mans (GTLM) victory in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen for Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen in the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R.
When Corvette Racing’s two C7.R entries take the green flag Sunday with the rest of the field in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen at Watkins Glen International, the Corvettes will again be running with Mobil 1 Oil.
ExxonMobil and Corvette Racing have just announced they’ve renewed their collaboration agreement for the 18th consecutive year, with the Mobil 1 brand again a major associate sponsor for Corvette Racing and the “Official Lubricant of Corvette Racing.”

America’s leading production-based racing team gets its first shot this weekend at the famed road course during the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.
The 82nd Edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans featured all the drama and excitement that we’ve come to expect from the Super Bowl of road racing. But this year was a bit more special for Corvette enthusiasts who watched Corvette Racing’s new C7.Rs make their debut on the world stage. After 24 hours of hard racing, the C7.Rs finished 2nd and 4th in the GTE Pro class with the checkered flag belonging to Ferrari.
