Last week, General Motors released the April 2012 sales report and new deliveries of America’s favorite sports car came in at 1,396. This is down 4% from April 2011′s sales figure of 1,454 but was an increase over the 1,376 Corvettes sold last month (March 2012). This is now the 4th month in row for Corvette sales increases over the previous month and April’s sales number is the highest in a year. For the calendar year, 4,328 Corvettes have been sold and the number is pacing 0.8% ahead of 2011′s calendar year sales.

In addition to claiming 10 NASCAR Sprint Cup championships since 1996, Hendrick also stakes claim to one the largest auto dealership empires in the world, selling over 200,000 cars in 2011. Like Hendrick, the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) looks for the very best in its judging of original and restored Corvettes. Now you can see how the 2 entities come together in this short video filmed at the 2012 NCRS Kissimmee Regional last month.

In a post a few weeks ago, I talked about the fast approaching deadlines for the 2012 Corvette model year and introductory information for the 2013 Corvette model year.
Well, deadlines are not always accurate so don’t wait too long. Here’s what I mean. The color Carlisle Blue was scheduled to have its last order date on Thursday 02/09/12. However, when orders opened up that day, there were ZERO Carlisle Blue cars available nationwide. If you didn’t get your order in a week early, you were out of luck!
