Corvette enthusiasts are smiling to beat the band about Chevrolet’s decision to keep the price of the exciting new 2014 Stingray basically the same as the C6 it’s replacing.
But some experts believe buyers won’t be as happy when they get ready to buy from some of the exclusive group of just 900 dealers chosen to sell the Stingray.

Tina Boyter says she fell in love with the shiny new 2013 Corvette as soon as she walked in the door at Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana.
All that remained to be worked out were the details.

We got a nice surprise this morning as GM has finally issued the official 2014 Corvette Stingray Ordering Guide. The guide lists all the features and options available and its release tells us that the ability to place an order for the new Corvette at your local Chevy dealership is just around the corner.

Last week, Chevrolet confirmed that 900 of the 3,000+ U.S. dealerships have met the qualifications to sell the 2014 Corvette Stingray when it becomes available in late summer. Dealers had to qualify to sell the Stingray by selling at least four Corvettes in 2012.

Chevrolet has been trying for generations to sell Corvettes in Europe, but no matter how good the C5 and C6 were, they didn’t seem to hit it off with overseas buyers – at least in large numbers.
With the much-improved seventh-generation Stingray, Chevy obviously feels it has done its homework and has turned the C7 into a true world-class sports car, complete with a sophisticated and classy interior.

Seems Roy El-Rayes of Texas wanted to buy a Corvette Z06 (who wouldn’t?), but like all good husbands, he knew he had to run it by the boss first so he created a 13-slide presentation to make his case to his wife.

We got a great new Corvette owner story from Corvette sales specialist Mike Furman at Criswell Corvette. Mike shared with us a note he received from Air Force Colonel Gordy “Fuze” Dexter, a combat pilot with 200 missions under his belt who has also won Top Gun 17 times. Mike was able to put Gordy into a Cyber Gray 2013 Corvette 427 and let’s just say the Colonel is impressed!
