February 2015 Corvette Sales

General Motors released the monthly sales reports this morning for February 2015. The good news for Corvette fans is that sales are strong with 2,605 new Stingrays and Z06s delivered during the short month. This figure is 6.8% higher than sales reported during February 2014 which saw 2,438 Corvettes delivered.

For the 2015 Calendar Year, Corvette sales total 4,732 for a 0.7% gain over 2014 which was just 33 cars less at 4,699.

Ultra Rare 1965 Big Tank Corvette Coupe Heading to Amelia Island Auction

One of just 41 Big Tank Corvette Coupes produced in 1965 will be on the block at the Hollywood Wheels Amelia Island Select auction in Florida March 12-15.

Highly Decorated 1969 L88 Corvette Heading to Amelia Island Auction

Some lucky person will soon have an opportunity to become the new owner of a verified 1969 Corvette L88 convertible.

But it won’t come cheap. A similar Le Mans Blue example that could trace its lineage all the way back to the original Georgia owner recently sold for a whopping $825,000.

This L88, ruled the real deal by experts David Burroughs and Tim Thorpe, will be on the block at the Hollywood Wheels Amelia Island Select auction set in Florida for March 12-15.

Corvettes on eBay: Rare Malcom Konner Edition 1986 Corvette

Malcolm Konner was a prominent Corvette dealer from the 1960s to the early 1980s who claimed to be “The World’s Largest Corvette Dealer” in his newspaper ads.

“Because we sold and serviced so many Corvettes,” Konner’s son RJ Konner told Corvette Magazine, “we were an invaluable resource for Chevrolet. They had a technician or engineer at the dealership 80 percent of the time to troubleshoot and help evaluate problems that came up in the field.
