Mid America Motorwork’s Chief Cheerleader Mike Yager recounts this Corvette barn find he investigated earlier this month. The Corvette in question was this Venetian Red 1957 roadster that had been locked away in a nailed up barn for over 35 years.

The Classic Corvette Club UK held their 30th Anniversary Nationals show recently and corvette owners turned out to display a variety of the classic American sports car from all generations. Like most shows, participants entered Corvettes ranging from stock through modified, race cars and recreations. Some of the customs are very well done and so we thought a pictorial feature would be nice to show what our brothers and sisters from across the pond are doing to their Corvettes.

We heard back in January that GM was considering adding a program that would allow owners the opportunity to build the engine that would be installed in their new Corvette. Yesterday, GM announced that the Corvette Engine Build Program would be available starting in 2011 for customers who order a Corvette Z06 or ZR1.

Corvette’s Head Designer Kirk Bennion has a new ride this summer: A 2011 Inferno Orange Corvette Z06. The Corvette is outfitted with stripes from the Genuine Corvette Accessories catalog and are Cyber Gray in color. We agree that the color matches well with the first year Inferno Orange as does the black front splitter and rear body-length spoiler.
