We were very surprised to learn that the 4th installment of the “Transformers” movie franchise from Director Michael Bay has started filming out in Monument Valley near the borders of Arizona and Utah. Joining the cast of cars to be featured in the movie is the 2014 Corvette Stingray.
General Motors North American President Mark Reuss will drive the 2014 Corvette Stingray pace car at this weekend’s “Indy Dual in Detroit”. The Indy Dual in Detroit races include the Grand-AM and IndyCar races on Belle Isle this Saturday and Sunday.
The National Corvette Museum welcomed a special visitor today. Rutledge Wood, co-host of Top Gear USA on the History Channel and a reporter for SPEED TV made a personal video to the NCM and toured the exhibits. During the visit, Corvette Assembly Plant Manager Dave Tatman brought over a new Velocity Yellow 2014 Corvette Stingray and we were told that Wood was “blown away” by the new C7.
The picture says it all. Shared on facebook.
Yesterday, news that the 2014 Corvette Stingray was spied on the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier during filming on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. broke wide open. We brought you some video of the film shoot yesterday but thanks to professional photographer Glyn Lowe Photoworks who was on the scene during the filming, we’ve got a nice little gallery of new photos to share with you.
Jalopnik found this video showing the filming in Washington D.C. of the latest Marvel Comic’s Avengers series, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In the video, we see a Black 2014 Corvette Stingray pull up and actor Chris Evans aka Captain America walks down the sidewalk and stops at the passenger side door.
We’ve stumbled across another cool unrestored Corvette listed on eBay. Early last week we found the 1953 Survivor up for bids and now we’ve got this silver 327/350hp 1966 convertible seeking a new home. The hidden roadster was pulled from a barn in 2010 and claimed a Bloomington Gold Survivor Award in 2012.
Later this week, a 2013 Corvette Grand Sport Convertible with a rather unique history, despite its short-lived existence, could be in the hands of a new owner.
We first told you about this yellow Corvette late last year after it was seized by authorities with just a little more than 100 miles on the odometer!
