Each week the Autoline TV program and its host, John McElroy, take an in-depth look at various topics in the ever-changing auto industry. In this week’s episode, McElroy is joined by Peter De Lorenzo of Autoextremist.com as the pair sit down with GM’s VP of Global Design, Ed Welburn, to discuss the past, present, and future of GM design. Included in the discussion is a rare behind the scenes tour of the GM Design Studio featuring cameos by the Corvette Sting Ray racer, as well as the Mako Shark and Manta Ray Concepts.

A 1969 Corvette is providing a chance for a father and son to come closer together as they work side by side to restore the classic Chevrolet.
Jason Tueller, 21, and his 53-year-old dad, Shayne Tueller, say the restoration project is also providing them a chance to heal after the unexpected death last year of Jason’s sister, Jessica Tueller, 25.

Jon Flickinger didn’t let this one get away.
Inspired by memories of a C1 that got away from him a long time ago, the Salina, Kansas man took charge this time, and the result is a 1962 Corvette resto-mod that’s absolutely music to his ears – and everyone who sees and hears it.
The guys at D2FORGED sent over these pics from their latest photoshoot. The subject being a Cyber Gray Corvette Z06 with D2FORGED MB1 wheels. I just love the contrast that black wheels provide against Cyber Gray and the way the small touches of red trim on the lug nuts and center cap accent the red calipers.
When you’re one of the world’s best-known sports cars, people like to draw a line in the sand and dare you to cross it.
But recently, Carbuzz.com, in its Drag Race Tuesday series, featured a video that threw a different opponent at a Chevrolet Corvette C5: a motorized skateboard.
For the Woodward Dream Cruise, Chevy created the Corvette Time Line to honor the significant milestones during Corvette’s 60 years of production. Here is a video of Corvette’s Product Marketing Manager Harlan Charles on Woodward talking about the milestones that occurred during Corvette’s first generation – 1953 to 1962.
