Last week, two LA rappers known as YG and Nipsey Hussle released a new anti-Trump song called ‘FTD’ (F**K Donald Trump). On Sunday, the duo put out a call to fans to gather at the intersection of Melrose and Fairfax to help film the music video for the song.
Not only did over 100 people show up to provide the the song’s chant, but apparently no one bothered to tell the police of the music video shoot as officers showed up in riot gear and shut down the street party.

Money can’t buy everything.
Take this 1966 Corvette owned by Gary Hemphill of the Kansas City area.
He bought the car used in 1969 at Miller Pontiac on Main in K.C. when he was just 28 years old.
About 10 years ago, Hemphill was at a cruise-in in Belton when a man walked up and said he once owned the car. Hemphill had heard that story before from other folks and thought the odds were pretty slim of such a reunion actually taking place.

Last weekend was the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and one of the highlights for our annual trek to Sebring is visiting with friends and checking out all the great Corvettes in the Corvette Corral.
If you watched the race, you know all about the storms that hit just hours after the the green flag waved. In fact, we were all the way down in Turn 10 when that first downpour hit. To say things got a little soggy was an understatement!
The good news is that when I returned to the Corral, the first wave the of storm had passed and while the Corvettes were wet, none had melted in the rain! Knowing that even more rain was coming, we headed out to the Corral to get some pictures of the Corvettes in the wet along with some cool Corvette vanity plates.

Happy Birthday Larry!
Larry Shinoda was born March 25, 1930 in Los Angeles, California. Like typical So-Cal boys, he loved cars and would draw pictures of them. As a teen, he enjoyed hotrodding and street racing and his pursuits of all things automotive eventually led him to Art Center College of Design.
College wasn’t for him though and labeled as a malcontent, he was kicked out of art school. One of his teachers invited him to present some of his designs to Ford and he was hired a few months later. Larry spent a year at Ford, and then worked for nine months at Packard before landing a design job at General Motors.
