We told you a few weeks ago about the 2014 Corvette Stingray’s performance in Car and Driver’s 2014 Lightning Lap competition.
But now you can actually see a video that offers a sweet look at what it’s like to ride in the passenger seat of the hot new Stingray.
Simply put, the sound of the Corvette’s 6.2-liter V8 is music to our ears as it runs against the clock at Virginia International Raceway.
If you’ve ever wanted to own one of the most unusual Corvette show cars ever built, we may have found what you’re looking for. Lot S52 of Mecum’s auction in Anaheim, California on November 15, 2014 is the ‘Outer Limits’, an asymmetrical Corvette show car designed and built by noted customizer and car show promoter Ray Farhner.
The seventh-generation Corvette Stingray continues to attract attention from around the world.
The latest company to jump aboard the Stingray bandwagon has created a limited edition car it calls the AERO Edition C7 Corvette.
A company out of Luxembourg, ABBES Design, created the unique Stingray, which was built by MRT Engineered Performance and will be shown at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
For years, Corvette enthusiasts have been intrigued by the Peter Max Corvettes, that collection of 36 Corvettes owned by the pop art star who became famous in the 1960s.
The Corvettes, one each from 1953 through 1989, were the grand prize in a VH1 contest back in 1989, with a carpenter from Long Island chosen as the lucky winner.
Our friends at Corvette Nation TV have been busy filming at various Corvette shows across the country this summer and the new season will kick-off this Saturday morning at 10 AM ET on the Velocity Network. If you haven’t been watching the only cable TV show solely focused on the Chevrolet Corvette and the hobby that surrounds it, now is your chance!
In the first episode of Corvette Nation’s second season, the show’s hosts Maria Prekeges, Bill Stephens and Michael Brown take a visit to the National Corvette Museum’s 20th Anniversary and the grand opening of the new NCM Motorsports Park.
The show airs at a different time than last year so set your DVRs now for Saturdays at 10 am on Discovery’s Velocity Channel to catch all the exciting Corvette action with Corvette Nation TV. For the latest show updates, make sure you are following Corvette Nation TV on Facebook.
Check out this cool video of a 1964 Corvette Restomod that was submitted by a reader. His dad’s Corvette was recently featured in Super Chevy Magazine:
The idea of this video was derived from Rob at Underground Racing. Video is of my fathers 1964 Corvette Stingray, which has been referred to as “Stepchild’s Revenge.” It made the cover of the December issue of Vette Magazine. This was made for my video production class at school. I have a passion for making car videos and hopefully one day work for a big automobile corporation.
We assume the “stepchild” in the title refers to the nickname many have given the 1964 Corvette. With an LS7 under the hood, we see how this midyear model dishes out its revenge! Thanks for sharing Kyle and great job on the video!
