Check out the view from a C6 Corvette as it runs behind the Corvette Pace Car during the PIT Rally on Colorado’s Central City Parkway. The course is 7 miles, 4 lanes wide, 23 turns and a 2,500 ft hill climb through the Rocky Mountains.

Chasing a GO4IT Racing Corvette (pace car) in my street C6 Corvette on Central City Parkway in Colorado during PIT Rally 2014. Hit a top speed of 140 MPH, averaging 104 MPH over 6.9 miles and 1500 ft of overall elevation climb. I was admittedly a little hesitant around some of those blind turns!

Front video and data recorded by TrackAddict HD on an iPhone 5, with optional OBD-II interface add-on. Rear video from a ReplayXD 720. Video+Data overlays and Picture-in-Picture produced with RaceRender 3: http://RaceRender.com

[VIDEO] 81 Year Old Road Rally Driver Tops 166 MPH in her C5 Corvette

Once a year in Idaho, the Sun Valley Road Rally transforms Highway 75 north of Ketchum into a “No Speed Limit” zone where drivers can run as fast as they want past throngs of spectators cheering them on. The event, now in its 5th year, raises money for the Blaine County Community Drug Coalition.

One of the videos we caught of the event featured a C5 Corvette that hit a top speed of 166 mph on the two lane road.

But that’s not all. Driving the yellow Corvette, according to the PA announcer, was an 81 year old grandmother.

[GIF] Watch Corvette's Evolution Over 7 Generations

Over the last six decades, Chevrolet has produced seven different iterations of the Corvette. Some of the designs have been called revolutionary like the C2 years while others have more or less evolved from the previous generation like C5 to C6.

eBay Motors found a cool way to illustrate the design changes the Corvette has undergone over the last 60 years by showing an animation that morphs from the C1′s 1953 Corvette all the way through to the C7 2014 Corvette Stingray.

CorvetteBlogger Visits CORSA Performance

If you’ve been to any of the major Corvette shows over the last several years you’ve probably seen the crew from CORSA swapping exhausts on Corvettes faster than a C6 ZR1 runs 0-100mph. Some of you may even have CORSA products on your ride already. Ever wonder where your products came from? Yeah, we did too. So last weekend during the Corvettes at CORSA show we took the opportunity tour CORSA’s headquarters in Berea, Ohio.

Listen to the sound of this Stingray as it makes its way through a car meet-up and then onto the streets.

Riding around in our friend Stangkilr’s C7 Corvette with a new F1 A Procharger kit, the pressure relief valve is LOUD AS HELL so we were driving around showing off a little, it’s hard not to smile the entire time you’re driving this thing!

That tremor you felt in the force last week as millions of people suddenly cried out and then were silenced wasn’t the result of some interplanetary conflict. No, that collective gasp heard online was the unveiling of a new Hot Wheel’s Darth Vader show car at San Diego’s Comic-Con convention.

The Darth Vader car is the first in a new series of Star Wars character cars from Hot Wheels available this October.

Terry Michaelis' NASCAR Corvette Wins Again

Terry Michaelis’, number 27 1953 NASCAR Corvette has won again, though this time not on the race track but on the show field at the 36th Annual Concours d’Elegnace of America at the Inn at St. Johns in Plymouth, Michigan. After winning two awards at Cincinnati’s Ault Park Concours, a 1st in Class in the Racing Division and the Bill Rudd “Best Vette” Trophy, the Michigan concours added another ribbon in the “Racing Through the Ages” category.
