Last Baldwin-Motion Phase III GT Corvette Found

Joel Rosen’s east coast-based Motion Performance Speed Shop was legendary for building unbeatable muscle cars in the Sixties and seventies. Teaming up with Baldwin Chevrolet, customers could order a Corvette which would be torn down and rebuilt into an 11.5 second drag car, complete with factory warranty.

One the creations of Rosen was the Phase III GT which made its debut at the International Auto Show in New York City in April, 1969. Motion Performance would build just 12 of the 500+ horsepower grand touring Corvettes with the last one leaving the shop in 1971. That last Phase III GT Corvette was recently purchased from the family of the original owner and has been restored back to original condition and will be displayed at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals in November.

Our favorite non-original L88 Shriner Corvette is back on the market again. The 1967 “L88″ Shriner COPO Corvette crossed the block at Mecum’s St. Charles auction on Saturday where it reached a high bid of $80,000 but failed to reach its reserve price. Longtime readers of CorvetteBlogger may recognize this as the same car whose listing on eBay in December 2005 was pulled after the Corvette community challenged the sale as a real-deal L88 Corvette.

2010 Corvette Grand Sport in Synergy Green

Last time we were on the subject of Corvettes painted green, we were talking Dark Bowling Green Metallic and the color similar to that which was featured on the Allstate 400 Corvette Grand Sport that ran at the Brickyard a couple weekends ago. Well, today we’re going to take you the opposite direction with a color so green, you’ll either love it or hate it. Here is a custom 2010 Corvette Grand Sport offered for sale by Colorado Chevy Dealer Purifoy which borrows the limited edition Synergy Green from Camaro and gets all crazy with it.
