The Dragon Vette Continues its Evolution

A man from the village of Greendale in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin (it’s a village, not a town) is looking for three tickets to this Sunday’s Super Bowl. The first American guru of fitness Jack LaLanne passed away over the weekend. He was 96 years old. No doubt that clean living and lots of exercise will go along way, but there was more to Jack than fitness. LaLanne was a lifelong Corvette owner and they were the favorites of his car collection. If you remember the big man with the skinny waist doing amazing feats of fitness on black and white television, check out Scott Teeter’s Corvette Report for more on this famous Corvette owner.

Vette Magazine interviewed Jack and he talks about his love of Corvettes.

Rest in peace, Jack. You’ve earned it!

And so it sat outside for several years in the North Georgia weather with only a tarp to protect it. The time had finally come to sell it and so the owner placed an ad for the Corvette on Craigslist early Christmas morning.

Forgotten 1969 Corvette Pulled from the Weeds

This 1969 Corvette T-Top Coupe had been left in the care of mother nature for an extended length of time with predictable results. No explanation as to why it came to be parked and left to the weather and rodents. Was it as simple as “it’s not running right, I’ll fix it next week” or maybe “not sure what the knocking noise is but better not drive it”?
