It’s no secret that 2013 is a critical year for Chevrolet. After all, the company is launching 13 new or redesigned vehicles this year, including some of its most popular models like the Corvette Stingray sports car, the Silverado full-sized pickup truck, and the Impala large sedan.
Naturally such a big change in the company’s lineup means marketing… and lots of it.
When you’ve got a winner, you take on all comers.
That’s the strategy Corvette and its ad agency are taking as the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray hits the showroom floor in the third quarter of this year.
Check out Manchester United’s latest signing – the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The photo of the new signage on Old Trafford Stadium was tweeted by Chevrolet FC over the weekend. This signage is part of Chevrolet’s multi-year advertising sponsorship with the soccer team.
This video that popped up on Youtube this week courtesy of Chevrolet FC (Football Club) makes you wish your mom had made you go to more soccer practices as you were growing up.
Then maybe you’d be behind the wheel of a 2013 Corvette!

Chevrolet sponsored the Grammy Awards that aired on CBS on Sunday evening and ran a :90 second commercial titled Find New Roads Anthem which included the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe. We believe this is the first time the Stingray Coupe has aired in an actual broadcast commercial and in case you missed it, check it out after the jump.

We saw this 30 second commercial last week just hours after Chevrolet uploaded it to their YouTube channel and it had garnered 300 views. If you follow us on social media, you would know that we tweeted and posted the video to our Facebook page. In nearly one week, the video has been watched over 2.6 million times. That’s an amazing amount of views that shows the interest and excitement in the new Corvette.
We were really hoping that its arrival on Thursday afternoon would mean that it was scheduled to air sometime during Sunday’s Super Bowl broadcast, but alas, that was not to be. And that’s a shame because showing a Corvette commercial during the Super Bowl would have conveyed a “new seriousness” from GM about how it markets its halo car.
We always like to mention when the latest Corvette model goes live on Chevrolet’s website and according to our friend CorvetteConti.com, General Motors flipped the switch on Corvette.com late last month to showcase the 2013 models which include the new 427 Convertible as well as the equally awesome 60th Anniversary package.
We all know Jay Leno loves cars, so our first thought when we saw his new commercial for Burger King wasn’t about the new menu. It was our concern that ketchup and mustard – not to mention barbecue sauce – might somehow get on that lovely C1 Corvette he was driving in the commercial.

There’s a lot of activity happening in the Corvette world south of the border.
Here is a :60 second television commercial that (we believe) is running in Mexico to support the new Chevrolet Performance Stores which will sell the Corvette ZR1 and Grand Sport models. Chevrolet Mexico made the announcement last week that four of these Performance Stores will open starting this month to allow buyers to see the features and options available on new Corvettes as well as configure their own personal order.

Chevrolet just posted a new video on your their YouTube channel called “Candles” which features the 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible with the 60th Anniversary Edition. As the length of the video is actually 30 seconds, we’re hoping to see this commercial run during this weekend’s broadcast of the 12 Hours of Sebring.
