Some folks worry about getting the first scratch on their shiny new car or properly breaking in the engine.

Well, the driver of this 2019 Corvette Grand Sport didn’t have to wait very long for that first scratch, and forget about having to pamper the fledgling powerplant.

In fact, the odometer reads just 15 miles on this Sebring Orange beauty, for we still like to describe it that way despite the fact that the left front tire is barely hanging onto the wheel and the hood, fender, and front bumper are gone. Kind of like a Miss America contestant who lost an MMA fight – she may have a black eye now and a few missing teeth, but she was oh so pretty when she stepped into the ring!

Looking on the bright side, this accident just gives folks a chance to see that powerful but normally hidden 460 horsepower monster of a Corvette engine up close and personal, without even having to pop the hood.

Apparently, according to a story on Jalopnik, this Corvette looks like one that wiped out on an interstate onramp in South Dakota in May. Based on local news reports, the accident was a minor one.

We’re hoping no one was hurt physically in the wreck, though we’re sure their pride likely took a ding.

But fret not, Corvette enthusiasts.

This Grand Sport will live on as it’s up for sale at a Copart auction in Lincoln, Nebraska for just $8,600. We know they always say you lose quite a bit of value as soon as you leave the dealership parking lot, but dang, this is ridiculous considering that this Corvette would have listed for around 70 grand.

A great case for the value of insurance, huh?
