[ACCIDENT] Authorities Blame C5 Corvette Crash in Tulsa on Over-Acceleration

The Fourth of July turned out to be a “blue” one for the driver of this white 1998 Corvette convertible, who was probably seeing a little “red” after a holiday crash in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

According to authorities, the driver over-accelerated and lost control of the Corvette as he was entering Interstate 44 from 51st Street, just east of Harvard.

The C5 Corvette, which still looks pretty sharp from behind based on the video provided by News on 6, suffered extensive damage to the front end after hitting a roadside barrier.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported to the occupants of the Corvette, though the driver was seen on the roadside holding an ice pack to his head, according to News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan.
