While taking a deep dive into craigslist this week, I came across white 1963 Corvette Sting Ray convertible that looks to have been parked some time ago. After snagging a photo for this week’s Midyear Monday gallery, I definitely wanted to circle back to take a closer look.
The Corvette is listed on SouthJersey Craigslist with Delanco, NJ listed as the location. The Sting Ray is priced at $25,000 or best offer. The pictures aren’t that great, but it does show a 1963 Convertible with a 327/340 hp V8 with a four-speed manual transmission. The exterior’s Ermine White is covered by a layer of dust and we noticed there is some pin-striping on all four fenders. On the inside, a black interior awaits the driver.
Some of the pluses on the car are the 340-hp “high-performance” engine, as well as side-exhaust and a white auxiliary hard top. The seller says it’s a numbers-matching car but states that it needs lots of TLC.
That’s a good call as we are seeing some parts missing. The passenger side door has a side-mirror bracket, but both doors are missing the side mirrors. Inside, the tach and speedometer are missing their red needle pointers. We see the paint is flaking in some areas but all in all, it seems to be a fairly complete car.

A 340 horse with stamped steel valve covers? Eh, it could be but usually if those gorgeous finned valve covers are removed, it’s to change to some other style aluminum valve covers. I see the 6500 redline and the aluminum intake and the 340 horse air cleaner but I’m just saying……………………………………………..
Still a gorgeous shape and I’ve always loved those dials. Gotta love those “deep dives” into Craigslist, hey Keith?
