[ACCIDENT] C6 Corvette Crash in Houston Sends Two Men to Hospital

This black C6 Corvette wound up as an expensive piece of yard art in west Houston, Texas early Saturday morning.

Authorities said the Corvette apparently veered off the road around 1 a.m. on South Gessner Road at Beverly Hill Street, skidding into a well-manicured median and smashing into a tree. An official said the car apparently didn’t roll over.

The impact knocked a tree onto the car, making it more difficult for rescue personnel to extricate one of the passengers. The other passenger was able to get out of the car on his own.

Both passengers were carried to Southwest Memorial Hospital, where they are listed in fair condition and are expected to survive.

Investigators are checking to see if alcohol played a role in the crash.
