[STOLEN] 1963 Corvette Convertible Taken from Storage Unit in Illinois

We never like to hear that someone’s Corvette was stolen but unfortunately that’s what has happened to this red 1963 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible located in Illinois.

Finding a stolen Corvette can be difficult and while it may feel impossible, we have seen many stolen Corvettes recovered within days after the owner effectively publicized the theft. Last month a 1962 Corvette that was also stolen from a storage unit was found after news reports prompted a tip to police who recovered it within days.

The owner of this 1963 Corvette is also trying to spead the word in hopes of finding his car. Here is the statement that Phil Knight posted along with photo to his facebook page:

Our 1963 Corvette Convertible was stolen from us last week right out of our storage unit at 2100 Adams St in Granite City, IL. I know it’s a long shot but if anyone happens to see this car driving or parked somewhere please contact us or the Granite City, IL police department. Thank you.

We learned about the Corvette’s theft on Facebook from Adam Boca of the NCM Insurance Agency. Even though the car is not insured through the NCM’s agency, Adam posted the photo and details to their facebook page as well. Adam said “BOLO for this 1963 Corvette! See information below. Not a car we insure, but we care about ALL Collector Cars. Good luck to Phil and Amber!”

Let’s hope someone sees this Corvette and its returned to it’s rightful owner!
