[VIDEO] The New 2019 Corvette ZR1 Arrives at Van Bortel Chevrolet in Update New York


Dealers are pretty stoked this week as the first shipments of the 2019 Corvette ZR1s began to arrive. For many of these dealers, the delivery of the ZR1 is the final step in a sales process that most likely began over a year ago when many dealers created their first “ZR1” list.

Once such dealer that’s happy to show off their first Corvette ZR1 is our friends Van Bortel Chevrolet in Macedon, NY., near Rochester.

Van Bortel’s Nate Chandler went live on Facebook this afternoon, providing a walk around video of a Black/Black Corvette ZR1 Coupe. The Corvette ZR1s are shipped without wings or ground effects and they are installed during the dealer prep. (One fun fact we learned this week is that the wings are too big to be shipped inside the car so they are shipped separately to dealers.)

During the walk around, we learn this is VIN #062. The car has the base low-wing configuration, an automatic transmission, and yes, it has a new owner.

The walkaround video is standard fare, but Nate then sits in the car and proceeds to do a startup, so you can really hear the exhaust note from the cabin! Holy cow is it a glorious sound!!
