Corvettes on eBay: Seeing Orange with this Pair of 1975 Corvettes

Ever since the new Sebring Orange tintcoats started showing up on new 2018 and 2019 Corvettes, all of sudden it seems like I’m seeing Orange Corvettes everywhere.

And of course that goes for eBay where a plethora of orange Corvettes await the Corvette buyer. Flashbacks of a Doublemint gum commercial sprang to mind when I came across this two-for-one auction deal on eBay for a pair of Orange Flame 1975 Corvettes, so I thought it would be fun to take a closer look.

Both of these Corvettes are a little on the rough side but the seller says they are both drivers. The 1975 Corvette Convertible comes with an auxiliary hard top and has 75,000 miles on the odometer. The ’75 Coupe has 95,000 miles. Both cars are four-speed manuals and if you look at the pics you’ll see both have some front-end damage that will need to be fixed.

The seller did not include photos of the interior or engine compartment and with the mention of the cars being “restomod ready”, I wonder if the 1975’s original engines are still under the hoods.

In 1975, Orange Flame was a new color for the model year. A total of 3,030 Orange Flame Corvettes were produced which represent 7.9% of all 1975 Corvettes. The color would run for one additional year before being replaced in 1977 for Corvette Orange.

With both Corvettes offered together at $25,000, you’re looking at $12,500 for each car which is certainly in the range for the mid-70s C3 Corvettes. So grab a friend and bet the house on a pair of Orange 1975 Corvettes.
