[VIDEO] The National Corvette Museum Shows Off Its New Corvette Racing Simulator

Exciting news from the National Corvette Museum!

The NCM’s Katie Ellison shared this facebook live video of the new Corvette simulator attraction for the NCM.

For $10, users will be able to select one of three vehicles and a variety of courses. Current choices for Corvettes include a C6 Grand Sport Convertible, a C7 Corvette, and the C7.R Corvette racer.

The simulator is built from a Blue C6 Corvette Coupe that Katie says will eventually be wrapped to resemble a C6.R, complete with real graphics from the Corvette Racing team. The wheels rest on special pedestals that provide the feeling of movement in the car. As Katie is running her first laps in the C7.R, she says the steering wheel also gives feedback which helps provides the simulated race action.

So with the new Simulator in place for the NCM Bash which is coming up in April, I can see many friendly challenges being issued between friends to see who can be the next Magnussen or O’Connell. Of course, if the simulated action is a bit tame, you can always “take it to the track” as they say with run across the highway to the NCM Motorsports Park new karting facility.
