Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Dec. 31st

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Mike starts this week’s delivery post talking about the ZR1 and the mid-engine C8 Corvette. In his final post of the year, we see new Corvette deliveries as well as some familiar faces returning to the dealership to take delivery of a new Chevrolet truck. As always, Mike packs an amazing collection of vintage, throwbacks and old Chevy ads into the mix as well.

Make sure to visit his facebook page for even more photos and videos of his new Corvette deliveries: CorvetteFurman.

~The New Year is here, 2018…where did this past year go? Zora has been gone since 1996 and the C8 mid engine talk is looking like it will become reality late 2019 as a 2020 model year. In a few weeks GM starts distributing C7 ZR1 allocations based upon this past years Z06 sales. The ZR1 debut in Dubai and LA was a big hit and as I saw with my own eyes…stunning from every angle. Imagine 755HP in a GM produced vehicle coming to a garage near you, Corvette…America’s #1 Sports Car! The 7th Generation certainly has put the Corvette World into a whole new frontier.

  1. The 8th pic from the top appears to be a 1967 L-88! I base this on the fact it is definitely a ’67 interior due to the console being the same color as the interior. First, the car has a high-RPM redline (hard to see in this pic but it is definitely not the low-RPM redline). Second, the car appears to have the octane-rating requirement sticker on the console behind the shifter which was only on L-88s and I’m not talking about the yellow tag attached to the shifter. And this car has no radio. Radio could not be ordered on L-88s although the radio-delete option could be specified on other models as well. And it is a heater-delete car which was encouraged on the L-88 as they did not want them used as street cars. Also, the car in this picture has power brakes and that was part of the requirement for the J50/J56 brake option required on L-88s.

  2. @ Larry Brooks – Sharp eyes, Larry. It’s definitely a ’67. The dash knob peeking through the left steering wheel spoke is another giveaway. The corner of what makes sense to be the octane sticker is sitting nicely below the shift pattern. And what else would likely be both heater and radio delete besides an L-88? I’ll defer to your eyesight concerning the hi-RPM tach.
There was a red/red L88 coupe that went off at Mecum (I believe) about 3 years ago for $3,500,000 give or take a buck. This could be an interior shot of that car.
The yellow tag by the shifter in unfamiliar to me and I certainly can’t read it. Any thoughts as to what it might signify?
