[PICS] The 2019 Corvette ZR1 Prototypes Shed Their Camouflage Coverings in Public

Behold the King!

Earlier this week, a redditor’s photos of three Corvette ZR1s testing in South Florida were shared. Now that the Dubai reveal has passed, we have these new photos showing that two of these prototypes have officially shed their swirl camouflage wrappings in public.

The two prototype 2019 Corvette ZR1s include a Long Beach Red Convertible and a Corvette Racing Yellow Coupe in a parking lot. Both ZR1s feature the base low-wing set up. Absent on the cars are the ZR1 hood badges.

Despite the fact that these are the first camo-free ZR1s spotted in the USA, most of the Corvette enthusiasts on Corvette at Carlisle’s Facebook page seem to be focused on the poor parking skills of the Yellow car’s driver. I mean, look at that very expensive carbon fiber front splitter up on the curb. The benefits of the low-wing configuration allow for a greater top speed than the cars equipped with the high-wing:

  1. I like how the yellow driver ran his front end up over the parking block! I wonder how much that will cost to fix?
