If you’re looking for another spot on your Grand Sport where you can add some carbon fiber bling, our good friends at Nowicki Autosport can help you out. Their new front fender vent trim brings carbon fiber to a forlorn carbon fiber-deficient area.
Like all of their other carbon fiber bits, the new front fender vent trim is made from the same OEM-spec material currently available on the C7 Corvette.
Installation is a snap. No tools are required and you don’t even have to remove the old vents in order to install the new pieces. Nowicki’s recommendation is to attach them with a high-quality two-part epoxy which you’ll need to supply. When using the epoxy, the bonding surfaces must scuffed with at least a 150-grit sandpaper to aid in solid adhesion.
3M double-sided tape is another option. Again, not included. When using the 3M double-sided tape, all you need to do is thoroughly clean the bonding surface, peel back the protective coating on the tape, and push the fender vent trim into place.
