Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for Apr 16th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports and Z06s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top Corvette seller.

Mike posted a little earlier this week as he is off for the Easter weekend. The nation’s number 1 individual Corvette seller could use a little R&R this weekend, especially after Chevrolet honored him with the “Elite Leader” award for his sales performance in 2016! Congrats Mike!! In this week’s dispatch, Mike shares some of the new Corvette deliveries. He takes us across town to the shop where he gets work done on his personal 1967 Corvette Coupe. Finally, Mike wraps up the week with a great collection of throwbacks, vintage magazine covers and more!

~I am off tomorrow and we are closed for Easter so I thought I would do my Corvette delivery post and throwback pic post tonight. Tomorrow morning at 4am I leave for Northern NJ for my 40th High School Reunion of my Wrestling Team. My Junior and Senior years we were Ranked #1 Nationally and our team was named Team of the Decade (70’s) and Team of the Century (1923-1999) for the top half of New Jersey. I will also be visiting a Corvette customer of mine in Sloatsburgh, NY. He has a collection inside of a temp controlled warehouse on his property…he owns the top half of the mountain. I will share pictures next week.

~Today I received this trophy via Fed Ex for my 2016 Chevrolet sales. It must weigh 20+lbs and it was wrapped in so much bubble wrap. Hard to take a good picture of it but never the less it makes for a good paper weight.

~Basil K. Of Montrose, New York (Westchester County) bought his 2014 Stingray Corvette from me and has sent several Corvette customers my way. Yesterday he called and said it’s time for a 2017 Z06 with J57 Carbon Ceramic brakes!! So today he left his house in NY at 4am and was at Criswell by 8am! A tad excited for his new 7spd manual Torch Red Z06 Cpe with Black Alum wheels and CF painted mirrors. I’m off today but for Basil I was glad to come in and make the deal happen for him!

~Ken M. Of Mechanicsburg, PA called me 6 weeks ago to factory order his very first Corvette. Kenny ordered a 2017 Z06 Cpe in Black with the two tone Red microfiber interior, 2LZ Pkg, J57 Ceramic Brakes, 7spd manual, Black alum wheels, Navigation/PDR and much more. Today he drove home on cloud 9.

~John B. Of Chesterfield, Missouri worked thru his local leasing company and he ordered a new 2017 Torch Red Grand Sport Convt 5 weeks ago. It was built on April 5th and arrived on the 10th. Plycon Trucking just picked it up and John will be driving his new Corvette early next week. John ordered a 3LT pkg, Kalahari microfiber inserts for his interior, Black top, red calipers, 7spd manual and much more! The leasing Manager in Missouri is still shocked how fast I was able to get this Grand Sport built and at Criswell. In her words"Will send a proper thanks for your attention to detail and extraordinary service and I mean it!" Carol

~Jeff and Jennifer K. From Kasson, Minnesota called me 12 weeks ago to factory order their very first Corvette. This Black Grand Sport Corvette has the 7spd manual trans, black wheels and 1LT Pkg. They had planned months ago to fly in to Maryland 4/13/17 and drive home to Minnesota and be by tonight. Two super nice people that are both teachers back home. I wish them the best. I will see both of them in October when they join me and 20 of my customers for the Corvette driving experience at Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada.

~What do you do with a Hennessy prepared 2016 Viper with 700 HP and only 40 miles on the odometer? You trade it in to me for a 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Collectors Edition! That’s what is happened Thursday at Criswell besides my 4 other Corvette deliveries that went to St Louis, MO, Kasson,MN, Mechanicsburg, PA and New Canaan, CT! Robert’s new 2017 Collector Edition Grand Sport Cpe #819 ships out this coming week. Pictures next week.

~Tony Avedisian of Tony’s Corvette Shop is the only person/shop that I would ever want working on my old Vette’s. I am fortunate that Tony lives 1 mile from home and his shop is 2 miles from my home. Wednesday he checked over the AC on my 67 Corvette Cpe and delivered it to my house. I have been bringing my Corvettes to him since 1989.
