Corvettes on eBay – The Punisher 1963 Corvette is a Sinister Restomod

Here’s an amazing custom 1963 coupe currently for sale on eBay. The gray on red restomod known as The Punisher was built by GodSpeed Rides in Sarasota, Florida. Their plan was to build a resto mod with no boundaries and they certainly did that.

The car began its life sporting a small block, power glide automatic transmission, power windows, and power drum brakes. The body was good save some light damage to the left front fender. Once disassembled every part installed back on to the vehicle would be new.

Designer Mark Pierson and the team at GodSpeed Rides wanted aggressive styling and stance. They followed an “industrial resto mod” theme by making liberal use of satin black, billet aluminum, and stainless steel over the course of their 2 year, 2500 man hour build.

The team spent 1,000 hours on the body alone. The rear quarters were widened 1.5” so as to accommodate a 345/25-20 rear tires. That’s a lot of meat! The lower rear valance was smoothed and molded for a seamless body. Also out back you’ll find a slightly raised license plate cut out, one off billet taillight bezels, and custom aluminum exhaust.

Up front LED and HID headlights illuminate the way. They’re complimented by a blacked out grill and LED turn signals. All of the bumpers have been tucked and narrowed to fit tightly against the body. GodSpeed Rides-designed rockers and billet aluminum hood trays pay a modern tribute to the original 1963 bits.

Under the hood lies a 525hp LS3 crate motor. From black anodized billet aluminum hood latches to the smoothed firewall, attention to detail is evident everywhere. All of the suspension and virtually all of the AC, brake, and heater lines have been neatly tucked away out of sight. A DeWitt radiator with twin fans keeps that monster LS3 cool. You’ll also find an ABS brake master cylinder and billet aluminum hydraulic clutch reservoir. Two creative, removable inner fender panels allow access to the AGM battery and the high pressure brake pump. Stainless steel headers route the exhaust to a 2.5 inch stainless exhaust system.

The rest of the drivetrain consists of a Tremec 6-speed transmission, a custom aluminum driveshaft and a Currie rear end. All of that bling is bolted to a SRIII chassis. Huge 14” Wilwood brakes help to bring The Punisher to a stop. The custom made Nutek wheels (19×9 up front and 20×13 out back) are wrapped in Nitto Invo tires.

Inside the cabin you’ll find a bright red leather interior. A large illuminated ARC 5 channel amplifier with 8” ARC Subwoofers flows your favorite tunes. The door panels have a 3 dimensional look with multiple textures. Other custom touches we see are socket head bolts individually threaded into the billet aluminum truss work, hand formed grills housing the ARC audio speakers as well as a handmade armrest.

Checking out the dash we find Dakota Digital gauges and climate controls. A Vintage Air Gen IV A/C system will keep occupants cool. Open the glove box to see the unique American Autowire fuse box. Need some tech? Checkout the Bluetooth, power windows and locks, and the security system which can also be used for auto start and GPS tracking via a smart phone.

So as you can see, this is a way over the top build. The overall look is clean yet sinister. It pays homage to the original 1963 lines, but also looks modern at the same time. There’s so much detail here that we can’t cover it all so head on over to the eBay ad to get the full scoop on The Punisher.
